A Dead Girl-

Kız Çocuğu (The Little Girl)という詩。

A Dead Girl

Never forget it, never forget it….
1)
Please open the door
It's me who is knocking this door, that door
Don't be scared by me, invisible me
A dead girl whom no one can see
2)
I was dead in Hiroshima
In a summer morning in Hiroshima
I was seven years old then
but am still seven
A dead girl can't be grown
3)
The flame wrapped around
my hair, both arms, and eyes
My body has turned to be a handful of ash
Cold wind blew it away to vanish
4)
I beg you only one thing
It is neither bread nor rice, not such a thing
Because I was gone like a burnt paper in a fire
and cannot lick even a candy anymore
5)
It's me who is knocking doors for you to notice
Please make a world in peace
A world where a child shouldn't be burnt in the flame
A world where a child can have sweet candies to taste

A world where a child shouldn't be burnt in the flame
A world where a child can have sweet candies to taste
